"Those who adopt these technologies stand to gain the most through increased efficiency. There’s a distinct trend within the tech sector where early movers reap substantial advantages. This particular innovation is still quite new to our field—it hasn’t made a huge impact yet—and thus, professionals have an ideal chance to jump aboard and progress forward," clarified Cann.
Cann suggests that easily accessible technologies such as cloud storage and your smartphone camera might also prove beneficial at work.
"The most significant aspect undoubtedly revolves around artificial intelligence and machine learning tools that transform the natural data collected within our sector into valuable insights, making them incredibly crucial," Cann stated. "Cloud computing, which is now a 10-to 15-year-old technology, has been widely adopted across many industries; however, this trend isn’t fading out—it’s also progressing further," he added.
"A third area could involve the Internet of Things and sensor technology. Consider the cameras present in smartphones; they produce data. Therefore, becoming adept at handling these sensors can be quite beneficial for professionals," explained Cann.
