Electric vehicle test drives, e-scooters, e-bikes, and much more are waiting for you at America’s largest electric vehicle exposition.
Ever wished for the chance to sit beside a professional driver as they drift a Mustang Mach-E through an autocross course? Perhaps you've fantasized about pushing an electric bike to its limits before taking a spin in the newest electrified Porsche vehicles. The Electrify Expo provides these kinds of experiences. Having explored this major event, which showcases the biggest gathering of electric vehicles and technology in the U.S., we can help guide your decision on attending once it arrives in your city.

The Electrify Expo 2025 will take place in eight key US urban centers.
In 2025, Electrify Expo is scheduled for eight different cities. Events in Phoenix, Arizona, and Orlando, Florida, have already taken place; however, there remain six upcoming opportunities to attend. People living close to Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and Dallas can look forward to hosting the expo locally. General admission tickets start at just $20 per individual. Upon attending, there were several aspects I wished I had been aware of beforehand. Most notably, I overlooked that the event takes place exclusively outdoors regardless of weather conditions. Additionally, prepare yourself for extensive walking since the expo spans over one million square feet filled with various activities. This vast area includes distant test-drive zones, possibly designed this way intentionally.

Electric vehicle test drives are the top reason for car lovers, however, there’s plenty of additional features to explore as well.
The top reason to visit Electrify Expo 2025 undoubtedly lies in the on-site test drive section. Major manufacturers such as Lucid, Porsche, Lexus, Toyota, and Ford participated this year; however, the lineup may change depending on where the event takes place. This setup offers an excellent opportunity to try out several leading electric vehicles currently available. Although both Lucid, Toyota, and Ford provided extensive driving experiences, Porsche’s offering fell short somewhat—it only allowed speeds up to 15-20 mph and followed closely behind another car, unlike what the others presented. Nonetheless, getting hands-on time with the new Macan Electric proved quite enlightening overall.
After past test drives, there was much more to explore at the event. During the Phoenix exhibition, multiple car models fitted with custom motors and battery swaps from various tuning shops were showcased, such as an R32 GT-R equipped with a Tesla power system. Racing simulators were set up too; however, they seemed less relevant given the sweltering 90-degree weather outdoors. The challenges associated with life in the Southwest extend beyond criticisms aimed directly at this exposition. Additionally, numerous electric vehicles like bicycles, skateboards, scooters, motorcycles, among others, were present for testing purposes. Refreshments were provided onsite, though attendees should remember that the Electrify Expo 2025 operates entirely without cash transactions.

Final thoughts
The Electrify Expo 2025 offered a great time, providing excellent value at $20 per ticket. This event is particularly recommended if you're thinking about transitioning to an electric car down the line. For those attending solo or sans children, investing in the $30 "early access" pass might be worthwhile as it grants entry one hour ahead of schedule. Early admission is advantageous, especially for securing test drives. By mid-morning, queues had started forming—especially behind sought-after models such as Porsches and Lucids. Should you find yourself close enough to where the expo will stop next, consider setting aside a day to attend; rest assured, you'll leave satisfied.
