Jeopardy! Fans Stunned by Secret Side Gigs of Host Ken Jennings

Jeopardy! Host Ken Jennings has numerous projects going on beyond the game show, and these additional endeavors have garnered much interest from his fanbase.

Internet users have discovered a video of Ken Speaking of transportation, the segment also unveiled his various part-time jobs, such as leading a parade. podcast What’s Ken busy with besides hosting? Reddit One of the earliest side jobs that fans uncovered involved a video for the Transit Effect, where he talked about "the impact of transportation on infrastructure, economies, culture, and opportunities," as mentioned on the site.

The Transit Effect consists of a seven-part video series, where the initial installment is currently accessible.

Ken once frequently relied on public transit, particularly during his college years as a student at the University of Washington. The television personality would ride the train to see his family who lived in Edmonds.

"I find it cool to observe what our host is up to beyond their regular profession. Being a Seattleite who doesn't drive (thus spending lots of time inside buses similar to the one Ken was sitting in), I really appreciate that they're working towards improving public transportation," expressed a Redditor.

In addition to discussing public transportation, Ken also served as the Grand Marshal for the 2025 National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, taking place on April 12.

"Vibrant helium balloons, intricate floats, marching bands from all over the nation, famous celebrities, and performers parade along the route showcasing an array of music and dazzling performances to honor the arrival of spring in Washington D.C." as stated on their website.

As the Grand Marshal, Ken held a distinguished position and was prominently showcased at the head of the procession.

"It's the National Cherry Blossom Festival parade! I'm in the booth! Anyone interested in some trivia about marching bands, beauty queens, and local theaters?" Ken shared on Instagram.

"While attending the major DC parade, Teddy Roosevelt dashed over from the Nationals game and instantly became captivated by my celebrated Junior Genius series for children. He found them terrific; check out his smile," he wrote alongside another picture taken during the event.

In addition, Ken is an accomplished writer who has penned many children’s books, including the previously mentioned The Junior Genius Guides series.

Ken's latest publication was the 2023 book "100 Destinations to Visit After You Pass Away: A Travel Guide for the Great Beyond."

In addition, Ken has released trivia books, geography aids, and parent guides.
